WHO ARE WE

Welcome to Jump Ball Academy, We are a basketball academy that provides skills and development training to youth from the ages of 5 - 18. Jump Ball Academy is led by head coach James Schuster. Our purpose is to provide the coaching/mentoring needed to cater to the growth of basketball within Hamilton and New Zealand. Our ultimate goal is to help kids fall in love with the game of basketball whilst developing their skill sets, basketball IQ and athletic ability. At Jump Ball Academy we promise to help all our athletes reach their true potential whilst providing a safe and family friendly environment.

JAMES SCHUSTER

James Schuster has over 10 years experience playing, and has been coaching intermediate - high school level basketball for 8 years. James has a huge passion for working with youth on and off the court. Through his experience working as an Inclusive Learning Assistant for over 6 years he has adapted his skills from the education field into coaching. Mixing the love of basketball and working with young kids James launched Jump Ball Academy with the goal to provide quality basketball training in the Waikato region.

James is a qualified trainer with a Cert 4 in health and fitness.
